Are Bees protected in the UK

< Back

The simple answer is no.

In the wildlife and countryside Act 1981, there is no mention of any bees so it’s a little bit of a mess when people think these are protected who in the UK.

We are lucky that bees are not protected because in the wrong environment, for example, a Honey Bee Hive that is at a nursery has to be removed or treated.
